Took my kitten for a checkup and some cold medicine. The staff is super sweet and welcoming and we were in and out once the vet was available, the wait times are a bit crazy if you aren't there right when they open but if you're there early it's quick and painless. I would highly recommend this vet :)))

I have been bringing my pets here for years. The entire staff is so kind and professional. They remember us and our pets and care deeply about them. They spend the time with your pet that it needs and educate you about your pets' health and proper care without any judgement. They provide top quality care that is affordable, especially in an underserved community. If it weren't for them I wouldn't be able to afford the regular quality care my pet needs and deserves, which is why I come from Ferndale just to see them. I can't recommend them enough.

I absolutely love this vet office. Speaking on weekdays only, if you arrive prior to the opening time you'll definitely get in. You'll meet other great fur babies and their owners while you wait which totally eliminates any ill feelings about the line. It's definitely a hidden gem. While it's not the "frufru-ist" place, their competitive edge is the staff. You can tell everyone in the building absolutely loves animals and is passionate about them receiving quality care. My pup was calm and cared for with gentleness and kindness. Plus - the care was SUPER affordable. While we initially intended on going to a doc office in Grosse Pointe, as we live downtown, we have made this our permanent landing place. Great work team!!

Don't let the outside of this place fool you. It looks like a dump and the surrounding area is sketchy - but the veterinarians and staff are very kind here - though very busy! Don't expect much customer service - but they will absolutely take care of your pet. I recently purchased a Cane Corso puppy that has two parents who notoriously get ear infections in both ears. After weeks of research, I made the decision to crop my puppy's ears as he was already showing signs of ear irritation and a love of water. They took him in at 9am and I was able to pick him up at 3pm that same day. He was already on pain medications and they provided additional pain medications for the week. Pricing was reasonable - and honestly cheaper than I expected. My dog showed no signs of distress and was happy greeting everyone inside. They were so loving and gentle towards him. The crop was standard - I appreciate that they only provide crops standard to the specific breed. I don't live anywhere near here - but it's one of the few locations in Michigan that provides standard cropping for dogs.

What a godsend! We adopted our dog, Candy a year ago. Seven months after we chose her, she started growing a mass on the outside of her stomach area. We contemplated surgery but thought it best to wait until after the new year. I’m January we went for a consultation with our veterinarian and when they did bloodwork we found out she had heart worms. No one in the area had treatment or would have required new blood work and x-rays. We were on a waiting list for over a month when our veterinarian found Hurley Dog and Cat Hospital. We immediately went Monday morning and our beautiful Beagle was able to get treatment right away. Dr. Ravi explained the procedure to us along with everything it would entail. She was very compassionate, thorough, and thoughtful. She allowed us to bring our baby home on the second day not long after treatment as we don’t live close. Asia is just as sweet and knowledgeable on the phone as she is in person. Markez was very patient and kind in helping Dr. Ravi. Candy is doing very well and we look forward to many more years with her thanks to Hurley Dog and Cat Hospital. They come highly recommended by me!

Of course i read the reviews before i even made a phone call there. Most of the reviews i seen were negative. But while reading the reviews i knew exactly what i needed to do to receive the attention i needed. They open at 8am for surgery's and 9am for other issues. I made it my business to get there before 730am and i wasn't the first one there. Long story short, this is a very fantastic place for my pets. I had been searching within a 100 mile radius for ear cropping and everyplace i called said "NO WAY"... I got my Dobermans ear cropped and got their shots at a very reasonable price and an A1 job. Very professional. Very good tips on care and upkeep. Hurley D&C Hospital deserves the top spot for my pets most definitely!

I have been a Hurley client for decades! It’s been decades because I am so please and happy with the care and love the Hurley Team provides - not only to my pets - but to me as well.

Docs Murali and Kala are the lead veterinarians but the other staff members MUST NOT be overlooked; they each have their key roles which makes the whole organization a caring place for pets and pet parents.

The Hurley Team is knowledgeable, professional and very empathetic to our needs. Thanks for your love and expertise!!

Here's the deal:
This place is fantastic. Do you have to wait a while (sometimes upwards of 4 hours) to get in? Yes. But the people that complain about that are also the same people that do not realize that typical vets in the area (no walk-ins) schedule out months in advance.

So, considering the appointments are not made ahead of time here, 4 hours of waiting is nothing compared to a couple of months of waiting. Patience, people, that's all you need.

Additionally, the pricing is incredibly fair and you can tell everyone that works there cares about their fur patients.

This place is a godsend for the community allowing for walk-ins + offering fair pricing. Your pets deserve to be taken care of, and Hurley will do exactly that.

Hurley is amazing! Our dog was attacked by an off-leash dog while on a walk, and the Hurley team was able to accommodate her immediately, even without an appointment. She was seeing the doctor within an hour of the attack, and had surgery shortly after.

Their team is super nice and always helpful with any questions I have — and they're also very reasonably priced compared to other dog emergency hospitals I've been to. We'll absolutely return for any further hospital needs! Thank you, Hurley team!
