My husband and I had gotten a Golden Retriever 10 week old puppy from a farm. Three days later, he became sick with diarrhea and vomiting. He seemed lethargic and sad. He had already received his first two shots of parvo vaccination. I brought him in without an appointment and we saw the vet about 10 short minutes later. The vet and her assistant were very kind and communicative. We are new dog owners, so I asked a lot of questions, which she happily answered and asked if I had any additional questions for her. He was sick from his new environment. The exam was $35 (originally did a rectal exam and found no bloody stool), they gave him a dewormer ($25), an antibiotic ($20) and were ready to send him on his way. They were gentle and kind with my pup when he was nervous and scared. As we were packing up, he had an accident in the exam room. The vet came back in and saw there was blood in the stool. They then did a parvo test ($75) and thankfully it was negative!! They then gave him fluids ($55) because he was dehydrated, and an Oral medication ($18) to help stop diarrhea. With all the help they gave us, it only cost us a total of $228, which I thought was extremely reasonable for the excellent service we were provided. We will come back time and time again. I'm a third generation of my family that is used Hurley for veterinary Care. For 40 years the services have been exemplary the compassion and understanding of the needs of our pets is something that you don't get from a lot of corporate veterinary clinics. The recent renovation of the facility puts them on par with any suburban veterinary clinic.
I highly recommend them.

I have been bring animals to Hurley Dog and Cat Hospital since I was a very young child with my parents , so it only felt natural that I continue as an adult. Throughout the course of years some of the doctors have retired but not Dr. Murali. I am a creature of habit as long as it woks and this one has , UNTIL …Dr. Murali went on vacation. I was very pleased that I was able to take my MacyGray ,in on his last day working prior to his vacation. What I didn’t know….. was that my baby was going to be LITERALLY FIGHTING FOR HER LIFE in just a few days. Well of course we were back !!! Let me TELL YOU how GRATEFUL I was then and now , Dr. Kala SAVED MY BABY !!!! I am sure she knew I would have just died myself right there if she didn't… LOL Knowing how sensitive my baby is and how much anxiety it would have caused her to have been hospitalized at MSU she allowed me to bring her there every morning as soon as they opened and pick her up just before closing as she placed her on IV therapy and monitored her condition daily for 4 days , making little adjustments until it was no longer necessary. When I tell you I LOVE HER !!!!!! I MEAN IT !!!! I have family , children and grandchildren but this MaceyGray of mine is my Favorit everything ! She is all I have , everyone else does their own thing and she just rolls with me ! With tears in my eyes I tell you I am FOREVER GRATEFUL to both of them Dr. Murali for putting up with me for more than 30 yrs with my first pet as an adult and for Dr. Kala for not giving up on US !!!! It is because of her genuine love, compassion and broad knowledge base my MaceyGray is still here. I would only recommend Hurly Dog and Cat Hospital , if you feel like me about your pets , ONLY WANTING THE BEST OF THE BEST taking care of them.

My cat was not eating for 3 days and I was so worried about her. Dr Kala accommodated me right away, and treated my cat with so much of compassion. Three years back my cat was sick and Kala revived my cat and she never got sick until again until now. Dr Kala has a magic touch with the pets. I strongly recommend the clinic for your pet since Dr Kala and her staff genuinely care for the pets, are friendly, make you and your pet feel at ease and take the time to explain clearly the reason why the pet is sick, what are the options for treatment.

Wow, so impressed with these folks. Got in quickly for my kitty’s issue and had a great experience every step of the way. Incredibly reasonable prices; this vet is truly affordable. Everyone was so helpful, knowledgeable and understanding. Special shout-out to Roger who kept my baby calm during her visit and had such wonderful energy. Every vet office should be so blessed to have someone like that on their staff. Thank you everyone at Hurley, you all are angels.

I wish to thank Dr. Ravi for her gentle and caring handling of my cat. She was professional and thorough and I was especially impressed by her policy of not overmedicating. Took my kitten for a checkup and some cold medicine. The staff is super sweet and welcoming and we were in and out once the vet was available, the wait times are a bit crazy if you aren't there right when they open but if you're there early it's quick and painless. I would highly recommend this vet :)))

I have been bringing my pets here for years. The entire staff is so kind and professional. They remember us and our pets and care deeply about them. They spend the time with your pet that it needs and educate you about your pets' health and proper care without any judgement. They provide top quality care that is affordable, especially in an underserved community. If it weren't for them I wouldn't be able to afford the regular quality care my pet needs and deserves, which is why I come from Ferndale just to see them. I can't recommend them enough.

My pup was calm and cared for with gentleness and kindness. Plus - the care was SUPER affordable. While we initially intended on going to a doc office in Grosse Pointe, as we live downtown, we have made this our permanent landing place. Great work team!!
